Google Shopping ads: Merchant Center and a feed without suspensions

We create and configure Merchant Center, bring your product feed in line with Google’s requirements to avoid suspensions for policy mismatches, and launch product ads that take the buyer straight to the product page.

How Google Shopping ads work

A product ad shows the photo, name, price and store name right in Google Search and on the Shopping tab. People see the product and the price before they click, so they arrive ready to buy.

These ads are not built from text you write in Google Ads but from the product feed in Merchant Center. If the feed has errors (price or availability doesn’t match the site, required data is missing, a product breaks Google’s policies), Google disapproves products or suspends the whole Merchant Center account. That’s why Shopping starts with Merchant Center and the feed, not with the campaign.

When it’s time

Signs your Shopping ads are losing sales

Typical problems stores come to us with:

✓

Some products are “disapproved”

In Merchant Center products show as “Disapproved” or “Limited”, and part of the catalog simply never shows in ads.

✓

Merchant Center is suspended

A policy mismatch stops all of the store’s Shopping ads at once, not just individual products.

✓

Feed prices don’t match the site

Price, availability or discounts in the feed differ from what the buyer sees on the site, and Google disapproves those products.

✓

Impressions but few sales

Product titles and categories in the feed don’t match how people actually search, so ads reach the wrong buyers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does Google Shopping setup cost?

From $200. The price depends on the number of products and the state of the feed, whether you already have Merchant Center, and whether you need ongoing management. We quote the exact price after a free express audit. Ad spend is paid separately, directly to Google.

Can you create Merchant Center from scratch?

Yes. We create the account, verify the site, set up shipping and returns, connect the feed and link Merchant Center to Google Ads.

Why does Google disapprove products or suspend Merchant Center?

Most often because of mismatches: feed price or availability doesn’t match the site, the site lacks contact details, shipping or return terms, or products break Google’s policies. We check the feed and the site against the requirements before launch to avoid suspensions.

What’s the difference between Shopping and Performance Max?

Both take products from the Merchant Center feed. A standard Shopping campaign shows products in Search and on the Shopping tab and gives more control. Performance Max also shows ads on YouTube, Gmail, Discover and partner sites and distributes the budget itself. Which is better for your store depends on the catalog, margin and budget.

Are Shopping ads worth it for a small store?

Yes, if the site has product pages with prices and people can place an order. Even with a small catalog, Shopping ads often bring cheaper sales than regular search ads, because the buyer sees the product and price before clicking.

Can you advertise restricted products?

Some categories, such as adult products, have separate Google rules for where ads can show. We check the catalog against the policies before launch so ads don’t stop right after they start.
